Hi! My name is Jill, and I hope you are joining me here to discuss all the wonderful things Philadelphia has to offer! I am a student at Drexel University, currently in my third year. Despite being a resident of this city for three years, I still don’t feel like a native. Someone will ask me for directions or ask me for recommendations of things to do here, and I’d end up Google-searching it myself. I knew something wasn’t right if I wasn’t able to run down a list of my favorite local eateries or staple summer activities. Was I not Philly enough, or am I just not exploring correctly?

Why I Started My Blog

I came to the conclusion that I’m a bit reserved and I adapt slowly to change, so the move from the suburbs to a city took me longer than most to adjust to, which is why I never pushed myself to discover every corner of Philly. That is now going to change.

If you see yourself in my shoes, join me on my journey! This blog is a way for me to reach out of my comfort zone and be a tourist in my own city. Whether you’re new or have lived here your whole life, there is a lot to do, see, and eat in Philly, and we are going to do it together. I’ve always been one to have a list of places where I want to try the food at or a pop-up event I want to go to, but rarely do I ever go, and it might be because I forget or just haven’t been motivated enough. I have an adventurous spirit but sometimes my actions don’t reciprocate.
